2025 has been a big year – not just for 5app, but for the L&D teams we support. More than anything, this year has reinforced something important: when you listen closely to what customers are trying to achieve, the direction becomes very clear.
At the start of the year, most people knew us for our learning management system (LMS), called The Hub: simple, intuitive, award-winning and something our customers genuinely enjoy using. But as conversations went on, a pattern emerged. L&D teams were being asked tougher questions about impact, behaviour change and skills development.
So we set ourselves a focus for 2025: build what will genuinely make your work easier, your programmes more effective and your people more confident.
How the year unfolded
Here’s the honest version: everything we built this year came directly from customer and community conversations.
VeeCoach
Teams told us they needed a way for people to practise skills safely and in the moment... so we built VeeCoach. Now anyone can rehearse tough conversations, ask questions privately and build confidence without waiting for a workshop.

VeeCreate
You told us content creation is still too slow, so we launched VeeCreate, giving teams the ability to turn ideas or documents into ready-to-use learning materials in minutes. Seeing how quickly customers started using it has been one of my highlights of the year.

Helix
And then there was the biggest challenge: skills measurement. Almost every L&D leader I spoke to said the same thing: we need proof. Proof of behaviour change, proof of skills progress, proof that learning is making a difference.

So we built Helix. We launched it with our insiders in July at the W Hotel, and the energy in the room made it clear we’d tapped into something important. The questions, the challenges, the ideas. We left that session with even more clarity about what L&D teams really need from a skills intelligence tool.

Bringing it all together
What I’m most proud of this year isn’t any single product – it’s how everything now works together in a connected ecosystem. You can now:
- Measure real-world skills with Helix
- Practise and strengthen those skills through tailored coaching in VeeCoach
- Create targeted content to close the gaps Helix uncovers with VeeCreate
- Reinforce progress through self-paced learning in the Hub
A unified approach that reflects how people actually learn and grow. It’s something our customers helped us shape every step of the way.
Looking ahead to 2026
I won’t spoil everything on the roadmap yet, but the direction is clear. Next year, we’ll be doubling down on what matters most to L&D:
- Creating high-quality personalised learning faster
- Delivering content more intelligently
- Developing real-world skills through feedback and coaching
- Measuring what’s working, not guessing
Expect more automation, deeper integration and technology designed to make your day-to-day work easier. Learning that happens without feeling like learning, seamlessly woven into your everyday work.
