[Helix](https://5app.com/helix) sits at the heart of 5app’s enhanced product suite, which also comprises the intuitive LMS, known as [the Hub](https://5app.com/platform), AI tutor agent [VeeCoach](https://5app.com/vee-coach) and AI authoring tool [VeeCreate](https://5app.com/vee-create). The new update adds 90+ new skills to Helix, such as conflict management, empathy, influencing, creativity and culture building, which can be curated into custom skillsets depending on each organisation’s unique needs. This builds on the [Core 9 skills](https://5app.com/resources/the-9-soft-skills-were-starting-with-and-why-they-matter) available when [Helix launched in July 2025](https://learningnews.com/news/learning-news/2025/helix-skills-intelligence-platform-launch), which comprised nine key soft skills rooted in leadership best practice. But it doesn’t stop there – there is also the option for customers to work directly with 5app to build and edit their own skills. > “Our latest Helix update gives L&D teams the unique opportunity to measure and track real soft skills in the flow of work for the first time ever,” said James Cranwell, 5app’s Head of Product. “The ability to add your own skills has been our most-requested feature since Helix launched, and I’m delighted to give our customers what they’ve been asking for!” This powerful new feature joins a range of other exciting updates and additions to 5app’s end-to-end learning ecosystem, including: - Improved compliance management via personalised notifications and enhanced reporting in the Hub - ‘Coach me on this’ functionality, allowing learners to access roleplay coaching scenarios directly linked to Helix feedback - Translation of VeeCreate content into 30+ languages Anyone interested in measuring and tracking custom skills in the flow of work is invited to [join 5app’s upcoming webinar](https://www.linkedin.com/events/7392126167417376768/) with CEO Philip Huthwaite and Sales Manager Corey Mitchell, taking place at 2pm GMT on 9th December, or to [claim a free 30-day trial](https://info.5app.com/helix-free-trial) to get started with Helix.   [News](https://5app.com/resources/tag/news) ## Similar posts News ###### [5app named Most Trusted Learning & Communications Platform 2026](https://5app.com/resources/5app-named-most-trusted-learning-communications-platform-2026) 5app has been named SME News' Most Trusted Learning & Communications Platform 2026!
