Why Helix is a game changer for learning partners

Written by Philip Huthwaite | 22 January 2026 13:42:48 Z

I’ve spoken a lot about the benefits of Helix, our AI skills intelligence platform, for customers and learners. But what about learning partners (including training providers, coaching businesses, learning platform vendors and content libraries) looking to bolster their offering with a unique insight into continuous skills development?

Now we’re all hitting our stride in 2026, I’ve been thinking about the hundreds of learning vendors who are struggling to stand out in a crowded market. Great content alone is no longer enough. Buyers are asking tougher questions about impact, behaviour change and business value.

That is where Helix becomes a game changer.

So what makes Helix special, and why could adding an AI skills intelligence solution to your offering be key to unlocking real value for your new and existing customers?

From programme to platform without the headache

At 5app, we built Helix with one clear belief: the future of learning isn’t standalone platforms, it’s ecosystems. For learning providers, consultants, trainers and content partners, Helix is not about ‘adding another tool’. It is about unlocking a new layer of value on top of what already works.

Many learning vendors already run high-quality programmes from coaching frameworks and leadership pathways, to remote and in-person workshops and learning management system (LMS) content. Engagement is often strong, but they struggle to prove what is really changing.

Partners tell us they can't clearly see:

  • Whether skills are showing up in day-to-day work
  • How behaviour is evolving over time
  • Whether learning is being reinforced once the classroom or session ends.

In other words, the programmes are strong, but the digital layer is missing.

Helix provides that layer. It connects to real work, surfaces behavioural skill signals and helps you extend, measure and reinforce learning in the flow of work, without replacing your existing offer.

That is how you move from programme to platform.

Built to fit around your programmes

Instead of forcing partners to redesign their content or adopt a rigid platform structure, Helix allows you to:

  • Measure and analyse custom AI-powered skills aligned to your learning pathways
  • Embed those skills as a natural extension of your workshops, coaching or digital content
  • Reinforce learning in the flow of work, long after the session ends

The result is learning that sticks, because it is continuous, contextual and personalised.

Buy, don't build

Most LMS and LXP providers are strong on delivery, discovery or engagement, or a combination of the three. But what many learning providers can’t do is prove whether or not skills are actually showing up at work.

Many partners consider building something themselves to fill that gap. But developing a secure, scalable, AI-driven skills intelligence engine is expensive, slow and risky.

Helix already exists.

Helix acts as a skills intelligence layer, not a replacement platform. Partners keep their UI, workflows, learner experience and roadmap, but with the added bonus of unique insights into typically hard-to-measure soft skills. It’s an easy way to accelerate your roadmap ambitions without heavy R&D or investment into new software development.

White-labelled for a brand-first experience

One of the most important things we hear from partners is: “We don’t want to send our customers somewhere else.”

And that makes perfect sense. When you’re building a cohesive learning experience, you want learners to stay within your ecosystem. If learners feel like they’re being sent to five different tools or platforms, the consistency – and therefore your brand – can suffer. That’s why it’s important to ensure that every element of your learning ecosystem feels like yours.

Helix is fully white-labelled, which means learning partners can offer a powerful digital learning experience under their own brand.

For customers, this feels seamless – as far as learners know, Helix is just an extension of your learning platform. For partners, it means:

  • Stronger brand ownership
  • Deeper client relationships
  • A platform that feels like part of their proposition, not an add-on

Stickier learning, stronger commercials

There’s also a commercial reality here.

Traditional learning programmes often have a clear start and end point. Helix changes that dynamic by enabling partners to offer:

  • Ongoing skills development
  • Subscription-based or licence-based extensions
  • Additional revenue streams that scale without adding delivery overhead

But beyond that, Helix can be a real positive for your business, through:

  • Reduced churn through deeper platform value
  • Higher annual contract value (ACV) through premium intelligence layers
  • Differentiation in RFPs and renewals
  • Faster enterprise credibility without rebuilding analytics stacks

Importantly, it creates stickiness – not just to the platform, but to your customer relationship itself. When learning becomes embedded in day-to-day work, switching costs increase and value compounds over time.

What the Helix partner journey looks like

We’ve deliberately made the journey to partnership simple and collaborative:

  1. Discovery – Understanding your learning model, audience and outcomes
  2. Design – Mapping your learning programme into custom skills and learning moments
  3. Build – White-labelling Helix and configuring it to your proposition
  4. Launch and scale – Supporting rollout, adoption and ongoing optimisation

Over time, you may find that you want to add new skills or tweak your existing skills to align with changing business priorities. We’ll help make that happen – and if you have any feedback, we’ll work with you to ensure Helix is ticking all your boxes.

In fact, we’ve already made improvements to Helix based on direct feedback. We heard that some customers wanted the ability to amend the way skills feedback was displayed in Helix – with or without scores, and with or without feedback. We implemented this feedback in days, giving the customer the level of customisability they needed.

Our role as a technology partner isn’t to take over – it’s to amplify what already makes your learning valuable.

A platform built for partnership

Helix wasn’t designed as a one-size-fits-all solution. It was built to flex around great learning design, great facilitators and great ideas, and to help partners take those ideas further with their customers.

If you’re a learning provider looking to:

  • Extend your programmes digitally
  • Increase client engagement and retention
  • Unlock new, scalable revenue streams

… then Helix might be your powerful next step.

Whether you deliver learning, host it or power it, Helix is designed to help you show what actually changes as a result. Submit the form below and let’s talk about how you can become a 5app partner.
