This milestone allows us to turn our focus toward other pressing challenges faced by L&D teams and explore how [the 5app platform](https://5app.com/platform) can rise as the trusted solution. Right now, the main challenge we're thinking about is one I'm sure many of you will find familiar: the ability to create high-quality learning content, when it's needed, for the exact people who need it.   ## The challenges of learning content creation L&D professionals face an ongoing cycle of updating training content. As businesses grow and evolve, half their time can be spent revising and updating existing materials, leaving little bandwidth for strategic initiatives. Each new course becomes another layer of future work, compounding the problem. [Time is another barrier](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4f6JP74M4s) to delivering great training. Business leaders often push for quick rollouts of new initiatives, but employees may wait weeks – or even months – for e-learning materials tailored to their needs. The process of creating a course involves multiple rounds of feedback with subject matter experts, slowing everything down. Localisation adds another hurdle. Training programmes often prioritise only a handful of languages due to cost and complexity, leaving some employees without the resources they need. This can lead to frustration and skill gaps in underserved regions. Outdated tools only make matters worse. PowerPoint remains a staple for many subject matter experts, yet it wasn’t built for elearning. The result? Static, uninspiring materials that fail to engage employees effectively.   ## Using AI to create training materials AI-driven content authoring tools present a powerful solution to these challenges, and are a key focus of the next phase of 5app’s product roadmap. Imagine taking a static document and turning it into an interactive course within minutes. No delays. No endless revisions. Updating content? It takes moments, not days. Subject matter experts can make changes themselves, removing bottlenecks. Using AI to create training materials also means that regional teams can take charge, customising and translating content with ease. With a few clicks, training programmes can be localised, ensuring inclusivity and relevance for all employees.   ## AI content authoring is coming to 5app Our AI content authoring capability is nearing completion, and I look forward to sharing more updates as we move closer to launch, not least what it will be called – answers on a postcard please!
